Things that made me smile this week

24 March

A four day weekend. Is there anything more blissful than going to bed on a Sunday evening knowing that the following day is Monday but not really?

This Is Us.

Butternut soup and warm focaccia bread.

Browsing the Milnerton flea market on a sunny Sunday morning.

Awesome vinyl finds at the market:  ABBA - Arrival and Pat Benatar - Tropico (for a mere R30 each).

More finds at Voom Voom, a vintage store in Observatory: Roy Orbison - Mystery Girl, Texas - Southside, Cyndi Lauper - A Night To Remember, Emmylou Harris - Luxury Liner and the original cast recording of Evita.

Biltong and cheese scones from Woolworths...add butter and sprinkles of mature cheddar and you have little bites of heaven.

Dinner and drinks with great guys, while watching a spectacular display of lightning.

The Blue Man Group:  Bizarre.  Brilliant. Beguiling.

Rain.

Finishing my marking for the term.

Watching the new action-packed Afrikaans film Jagveld.

Tweeting Neels van Jaarsveld to compliment his performance in Jagveld, then having him reply and follow me.
