Cookies from Milk Bar
I have been meaning to try this popular café and bakery (famous for its “unexpected desserts including Crack Pie®, the Compost Cookie®, “naked” layer cakes with unfrosted sides, and Cereal Milk Soft Serve) for months and I’m glad I finally did.  I opted for the tin of 5 assorted cookies (you can choose which flavours you want and each cookie is conveniently wrapped). I chose the cornflake choc chip marshmallow, blueberry and cream, chocolate-chocolate and confetti cookies.  They are soft and sugary without being sickeningly sweet.

Sex Education on Netflix
I will pretty much watch anything with Gillian Anderson.  In this Netflix original, she plays a sex therapist Jean Milburn with a teenage son, Otis, who is navigating the tumultuous course of adolescence – and discovered that he too has a gift for helping his peers with their sexual quandaries.  Besides Gillian, my favourite characters is Otis’ openly gay and super awkward best friend, Eric, and the eccentric Lily Iglehart.

The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty
Once I started this book, I soon found myself drawn into the seemingly ordinary suburban lives of the female characters and their husbands, one of which has a dark secret that has shocking repercussions. The book was written by the same author as the hugely popular Big Little Lies and this story has the same subtle and gradually building tension that keeps you hooked from one page to the next.

Chicken Pot Pie at Julia’s
Julia’s is a cozy beer and wine bar in Ridgewood, NY that also serves tasty meals and comfort food made with the freshest ingredients.  My current favourite entrée is the hearty chicken pot pie: “Free range chicken breast in a NY white wine cream sauce with peas and carrots, topped with a buttery crust.”  I typically pair this with one of several refreshing ciders (pear, blackberry, ginger or guava).

Hello My Love – Westlife
This is the first Westlife single in more than 8 years and the dreamy Irish lads sound (and look) as good as ever on this catchy pop tune about true love and soulmates.  I especially love the pre-chorus:
'Cause you could have someone without a belly or a temper
Perfect teeth, hair growing where it's meant to
You know my lips are all I can hold against you
This is all that I'll ever need, you and I”
